We are starting our 2022-2023 season with two performances of a concert program that will offer a glimpse into the English sensibility of blending sacred themes and idioms with poetry from the 15th to the 20th century. Moreover, the performance will be exploring how England’s tradition, as well as the common language, influence America’s traditions.
The program will feature choral works by English composers such as Thomas Tallis, Charles Parry, Charles Stanford, Imogen Holst, and John Rutter. Also included in this program are works by American composers Stephen Paulus, Jake Runestad, and Alice Parker.
