Support Inspirata and help further our mission of keeping the tradition of sacred choral music alive within our North Texas communities! www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/InspirataMusicHere’s an excerpt from last season’s “Rest & Peace” All Souls’ concert: “Svjati Boze”, written by Serbian composer, Stevan Hristić.(program notes)Hristić's compositions are a primary representation of early 20th century classical music. Although he is best known for his opera, The Dusk (1925) and his ballet, The Legend of Ohrid (1947), his output of sacred choral works serve as a cornerstone of Serbian choral music. His setting of the Orthodox Requiem texts, Opelo (1915), is quite notable not only for its characteristically late romantic harmonies, but its historical context. Composed during World War I, Hristić dedicated his work to the fallen victims of the war. Reflecting on the current political conflict in Eastern Europe, it is a fitting time to offer Eastern Orthodox prayers in opposition to the tyranny found in the world. Svjati Boze, svjati krjepki, svjati bez smertni, pomiluj nas. (translation) Holy God, Holy Power, Holy Immaculate,be merciful to us. ... See MoreSee Less

We’re absolutely thrilled to introduce to you the new singers joining Inspirata! We’re really looking forward to performing with these amazing musicians this season. You’ll get to meet them in October at the Choirs Across Dallas Workshop & Benefit Concert and at our Fall concerts in Arlington and Dallas.Read on to learn about them.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -DANIEL BOYDDaniel is a lover of all things music. He has been singing in church choirs since Kindergarten, has played piano since the second grade, played clarinet and saxophone in his high school band, and recently began trying his hand at choral composition with the University Park Chancel Choir performing his first piece in 2023. He is beyond excited to take this new step in his musical journey with Inspirata--to grow as a musician, to work with such a talented group of singers, and to revel in the singularly sublime experience that is bringing sacred choral music to life. When he is not singing, Daniel toils away in IT where he manages cybersecurity, infrastructure, and dabbles in software development for a company in Arlington. He recently completed an EMBA at TCU in 2022. Daniel lives with his beautiful fiancée Jennifer, her mom Pat, and her two kids Lincoln and Libby who are 5 and 3 years old. Daniel's stepdaughter Ryley is a Junior at Wylie High School and plays double bass in her orchestra.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -LARA DAYSSoprano Lara Wasserman Days performs with several groups in Dallas, including the Orchestra of New Spain and a number of church choirs.
